Jermaine Jackson , Michael’s eldery brother has claimed that Michael Jackson had taken interest in Islam.Jermaine himself converted to Islam in 1989 and when to pelgrimage to Mecca. In 2005 when Michael was accused once again of child molestation and he was acquitted by that , Michael considered to follow the steps of his brother Jermaine.
Jermaine said, “When I came back from Mecca I got him a lot of books and he asked me lots of things about my religion and I told him that it’s peaceful and beautiful.
“He read everything and he was proud of me that I found something that would give me inner strength and peace.
“I think it is most probable that Michael will convert to Islam.
“He could do so much, just like I am trying to do. Michael and I and the word of God, we could do so much.”
It was no secret that after Michael was accused of the child molestations he was fed up with the states and moved to Bahrein , where he lived in peace the last years of his life. It was only for the rehearsals of the THIS IS IT concert that Michael decided to move back to LA just for rehearsing. He also donated a lot o money to built a state of the art Mosque in Bahrein as token of his love towards Islam.
ccording to an article in a British newspaper, the Telegraph, Michael Jackson followed the example of his brother, Germaine, and embraced Islam last year.

A source said Jackson had appeared a “bit down” and added: “They began talking to him about their beliefs, and how they thought they had become better people after they converted. Michael soon began warming to the idea.
“An imam was summoned from the mosque and Michael went through the shahada, which is the Muslim declaration of belief.” […]
He wanted to do something back for the Muslim community that has welcomed him with so much love and let him stay with them as if he is family. Michael who got fed up by the western media , who even ridiculled him more after he was acquitted , run away from the US and lived in peace in Bahrein , where he would return back to withh his children . Also Michael had a special bond wit Europe , especially England, as why he decided to do his last tour there…

I think that his interest to convert to ISLAM which causes his death, bcoz MJ is a super star and if ever he converted to ISLAM, this will b a plus to muslim community…and millions of convertion to islam…i read that he should hve a last concert (at london, i think)and that he will announce his conversion there…So the enemies of ISLAM decided to get rid of him…but only GOD knows and Hope MJ has converted to ISLAM and therefore he will enter paradise…Insha Allah..!!!

No Michele was never a muslim he was researching and accepted Islam but never converted , only his brother jermaine Jackson is a real Muslim

well you cant say he was never a muslim because you never know, you say that he was researching islam therefor accepted islam.. if he accepted islam with his heart and soul then that is enough he is to be concidered a muslim. you and i cant judge on if he was a muslim or not because we dont know truthfully what was in his heart and soul only Allah (swt) knows what lie deep in the hearts & souls so its best if we dont judge cause we dont know !! 🙂
If he was Muslim his brother would say it during his funeral , I read this article about jermaine Jackson , and he said his brother micheal hadnt converted yet , accepting doesn’t mean converting , I mean I accept Christianity , therefor I converted to Christianity ? No

and I am very happy for him because he chose the right religion!
According to Islam, everyone is born a Muslim but it is his family or environment that makes him something different. He would not have to have announced it to the world if he believed. Allah knows what is in ones heart. The shahaddah is the formal announcement to declare the faith. If he said it then it would be official to the world. If he did not say it, then only Allah knows. Allah is the only judge anyway and not a human in the world can judge like Allah. May Allah forgive him and grant him paradise….
I had no idea no idea that he researched on Islam. Just for that, I pray to Allah to grant him a place in heaven where he can recite the Quran with his beautiful voice 🙂

michael was and always will be a loving and caring man. my heart bleeds for him and i dearly wish he was a muslim as it will be benefiting him. i’m not sure if he was a muslim or not as he himself never admitted to converting as did his brother Jermaine, however when he passed away his younger sister Janet posted a message hoping Allah would bless him. this gripped my attention as Janet isn’t a muslim, so why did she say that!
